meganondine asked: What do you do between acts?
Eat dinner. On a two show day, I often eat dinner twice. Naturally, I call them “first dinner” and “second dinner.”
paulinobrener asked: what's the most exciting item or letter or card, etc. that you have received so far while on tour with CDS?
When in Barcelona, I received a wonderful care package with nut butters, T-shirts, and kind words. Almond butter is like a four letter word outside of the US.
lukesiewicz-deactivated20110504 asked: Hey man, I LOVE Cirque du Soleil, especially Varekai when I saw it in London in the Royal Albert Hall! I do physical comedy, mime, acting and dance myself and would love to perform under their Grand Chapiteau sometime in the future... If I get there :/ I was wondering, is there any pre-show warm ups/routines you do to get yourself into character or ready for the show? Cheers man, Luke x
To get ready for the show, I roll around on the ground, do some “noalates” (which is my silly version of Pilates), listen to music while applying the hour long makeup process, then make myself laugh, bark like a rabid dog, make stupid sounds, open my eyes really wide and look intensely and everything, then stretch or groove anything else that needs it. AND last but not least, I say, “F@#K IT” and go on. All my best to you and your journey!
Dear friends, Monica is an artist blending mediums and creating interactive books that change lives. Please support this revolutionary project! There are three days left and $2,800 dollars to raise. We can do this if just 140 people pledge $20 each. We cannot collect pledged funds unless the goal is reached. Though the amount seems like a lot, the Kickstarter experts say that donations pour in at the end with everyone’s help. That’s where you come in. Please consider donating! With your contribution, we can continue to: run workshops where new interest has emerged; support old workshop sites where newly recruited bookmakers are waiting; and expand the library, which is critical to transforming our understanding of these wars. With all my support, Noah

Can you imagine yourself as one of those workers setting up the tent? Or climbing up the scaffold to place a flag at the top?

It takes a lot of people wearing a lot of bright colors to put up a circus tent!

Suzanne is allowed to be on site during construction of the tent. I, as an artist, am not because I’m a clown and clowns and construction don’t mix.
Thomas and the Circus Tent: part 1 - The Tent in the city.
Thomas, here is your virtual tour of each tent in every city I have been to so far!
Barcelona’s set up is the best because it is near the Mediterranean Sea and we are using all the tents available for many different purposes.
meganondine asked: Thomas has two questions: Can you show us a picture of your circus tent? And how do you make a circus tent?
Thomas (via mama Megan), Yes indeed. This is going to be a three-part series for you. Let’s call it, Thomas and the Circus Tent! Get ready… They are on the way!
